I know that a bunch of mtf's got referred for laser on the NHS in carlise - so it seems reasonable to at least try and get it through your doctor. Besides the NHS does pay for women who have facila hair problems to have it corrected and from soon after april next year you are likely to be legally feamle. failing that you could try for electrolysis

Well, I've actually got a referral for laser going through at Swansea that they are apparantly looking at. However, they did say that they don't usually fund this in my area so I'm not holding my breath. In the meantime I figured it would be good to scope out my current alternatives, should the NHS route prove fruitless, which I do think it will do right now. Still, I really appreciate your advice :)

The wife of a friend of mine, who lives in the area too, has hirtuism, but she doesn't appear to get NHS help with her facial growth. I figure this is because she either can't actually get it funded either, or the laser facilities are better elsewhere and it is worth paying for somebody outside the NHS to do it (incidentally, she is going to Christianos). Seriously X_mass, the NHS in this part of the UK is slow and very underfunded (i have another friend who has been waiting eight months to see a gynocologist and one other who waited a year to see a dermatologist). Making noises and threatening legal action will only put strain on a system that is already neglected and battered and I really don't feel comfortable with that. I'm also not entirely sure I will be legally female in six months, considering I've only just gone 'full-time' properly. I thouht you had be 'FT' for two years before you got a gender recognition certificate?
