Hey dude - I'm don't live in the UK these days (I'm Australian) but if you don't get any responses here it might be worth getting in touch with FTM London: http://www.ftmlondon.org.uk/ . There are a great bunch of guys who are part of this and they may be able to point you in the right direction for Scottish resources. Also, if you are ever down in London I would recommend hooking up with this group.
you don't really get to choose your GP that specifically, you'll just end up at the health centre that is nearest you most likely. so it's sort of luck of the draw. but if the GP you see initially isn't comfortable doing so you should easily be able to change to another.
Congrats on getting into Glasgow! I believe Scotland is pretty good on Trans related stuff and better than England so you shouldn't have too much trouble there. I'd advise joining the FTM-UK Yahoo group as there are some people in there who are in Scotland and who would be able to help you. You might also want to check out LGBT Youth Scotland or contact James Morton of the Scottish Trans Alliance.
