typo squatting alive and well

I'm glad to see that, despite Verisign's move to monopolize the typo-squatting industry, the industry is still alive and well, as verified by checking on livejournal's typos. Restricting oneself to single-character typos, all missing characters are handled by other registrars or active sites, except for one variant which appears to be handled by a ( Read more... )

Ah, but the genius of verisign's misconduct demonstrates itself when one adds missed keys (as in, pressed the wrong key and didn't notice) and jammed keys (as in, pressed the right key and a key beside it); here verisign has the vast majority of domains; 49 in missed, and an astounding 105 (estimated) in jammed. Also, they *own* .net; the only exception is the purchased unknown on livejournal.net ( ... )
