I think with me it's that my life is quite boring and yet I still don't seem to have time to post? :/
I'll try to make more of an effort. I agree with Scott's comments above about how awesome and life-changing LJ has been and I feel a bit guilty for neglecting it now!
Yes, I agree but I think also from a comment you made earlier, people are filtering themselves a bit more. However, sometimes those silly posts about hairspray nozzles could turn into something funny and entertaining and made you sit and hit refresh whilst sipping on a drink...those are the days I miss!
I wrote a post about this not so long ago as I don't like the direction our virtual world is taking. I much prefer reading about peoples lives in more detail on LJ but I had to reluctantly join places like FB as all the people I knew prefer the lazy route of a random status update.
Slowly but surely we are disconnecting with each other despite these newfound desperate attempts to be constantly connected. I think its very sad indeed :(
I have made more and more of an effort to actually post things nearly daily - as it's a nice way for starting dialogue with friends. But I have noticed that replys are getting less and less. It does make me think that less and less peole are reading......
I like the whole LJ thing - it let's me rant and be stupid etc.....
I have noticed you have become more active on LJ in the last couple of months. It's cool and it's good to get more insight on you and life. Lj is such a great tool for release and getting crap off one's chest. I think some people have forgotten just how good.
I agree, I'm trying to post more but I just never seem to get around to it. Twitter is easier which is why I'm more likely to update, but it's a lot lighter on content which is why I still feel the urge to blog properly!
I do like following your twitter but your posts are always good as well! I can understand where you are coming from as well but it's always good to get more insight!
I think it is very sad too. As I am currently house bound half of the time because I am mad as a box of frogs, it has been a lifeline for me. I think we should both start a campaign to get people off their arses and come back to LJ! For an added touch of irony, we should start the campaign as a Facebook group!
I find it to be the same. Especially after the bouts of illness I had last year and the time I spent at home so i appriecate where you are coming from entirely. It looks like your post about it got some good conversation going as well which is what it's all about!
