There seemed to be much confusion on the difference between "gross" and "net" during this whole Joe the Plumber thing...

That was exactly my thinking the whole time. McCain has been playing dumb as hell but generally you only get taxed on your net, and a net of 250K is really big, but a gross of 250K is nothing for a small business. It's when you take into account payroll that your net drops to much less than the gross...although I really don't know how the business vs. personal taxes work at all...
