I've been summoned for jury duty next week. I'm still trying to wrap my head around being at the County Courthouse at 8:30 in the morning. I have a very low lottery number, so I'm putting the chances of reporting at 100%. Anyone have suggestions for a first-time juror? I've been told to bring reading material. Are jurors allowed to take notes

This morning, I found a box of checks in the mail. Despite having lived in the townhouse since April 2004, this is the first time I've had checks with my current address. Now I just need to get some return address labels. Anyone have suggestions?

Pandora.com is a pretty spiffy new idea for streaming web audio. They've manually tagged songs with hundreds of attributes. I have a vague recollection of reading an article about a college that used a computer to help with admissions. They took all of the information used by admissions folks to make decisions for, say, five years of students into some A.I. system.
