Hey, I just wanted to give you a big "thanks!" for posting this. I have a VX900 monitor, and this little description helped me quite a bit.

I was curious as to whether or not you were experiencing a multitude of little green and red discolored and blinking phosphorous dots on your screen? My system dual-boots from Windows XP and Linux (Gentoo distribution), and the XP side displays just fine, but here whenever I start X11 I get these darned little dots.

Actually, the problem starts the framebuffer loads.

Oof. No, I don't think we see anything like that. Sounds like one of the guns is out of alignment or something. Convergence?
