It was the best kept non-secret on the entire Ark. All of Aid's brithers went to Wheeljack for advice, and he sent them ti Sideswipe who actually knows about big business transactions like that, and Sideswipe said something to Sunstreaker who mentioned it to Jazz...

And well, they are the first newly bonded couple in a few million Earth years.
