Oh, I still love the idea that the drones aren't factional - they're following their hosts. <3 Optimus having two drones is so cute!

the drones just go with anyone who can support them, though Scorpinok does like to fight and would have picked a Decepticon if given a chance just so that he could. he's much more self aware than he (or Optimus, though he's learning) realizes.

Optimus only has one (Scorpinok) right now, but he did care for Roller until Roller's programming evolved into sapience. (a process that takes a long, long time and isn't encouraged by all drone carriers.) They still have a very close relationship, though.
