I do love Tracks/Raoul. The snark content between them is pleasingly high, without the physical violence in Powerglide/Astoria. And fortuitously I had just been reading a book called The World Without Us and watching a National Geographic special on a similar topic - how all human works would decay and how nature would change if we were simply gone - and that gave me my post-apocalyptic jive. That I could work with. ^_____^ And then the Snake Plissken cameo was too amusing to pass up, so...

Anyway! I am delighted that you liked it. Hooray!

Wonderfully imaginative at any rate. It feels sort of strange though that I asked for the other Tracks/Raoul story and yet I get the pleasure of reading this one as well.

Thankee! I quite like that part, too. I wrote the first 1300 words in one sitting, and then that last bit a little later, so that sentence was in from pretty much the start. Just had to make the ends meet. ^_^;

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh yes. I have been looking for this fic nonstop for the last two weeks, and I was so terribly sure that you wrote it, but I couldn't find it on any of my usual communities.

*wraps around this and cuddles it* God, I loved this the first time I read it, and now I only love it more. The depth and intensity of the emotion between them is stunning--and so characteristic of your work.

The exchange I remembered best--still my favorite!--is this:
“You used to care about my upholstery, too,” Tracks huffed.

Raoul stared at him with a jaded sort of horror. “Not playing your reindeer games, man.”
