TFA Sari

Medbay is quiet, as it has been for a while now. She hasn't seen Ratchet and Bluestreak in ages, and their room was empty the one time she convinced the computer to unlock the door for her so she could check on them. All of the other residents seem to have gone as well, though Swoop stays so that she's not alone at night ( Read more... )

*he's sitting quite contentedly at his newly acquired piano, slowly teaching himself how to play. He's had to start small and so the delicate notes of the earth song Greensleeves, can be heard off and on in the main dojo, the ninja scowling every time he makes a mistake.

Hearing Sari's voice during a lull moment of scribbling notes down, he looks up and smiles at the girl*

Hi, Sari, I'm over here. *pats the padded seat beside him as he shifts to give her room*

What brings you here?

She can't help but smile at the music. It's nice, even if he's not actually good yet.

The way he immediately diverted his attention to her makes her feel pretty good too.

She flies across the room quickly and settles onto the bench next to Prowl. With a happy sigh, she snuggles against his side and hugs as much of him as she can.

I was lonely. There's no one at home anymore but me and Swoop.

She's not sure she really wants to talk about that, though. The piano is new.

Oh? *looks down at the girl snuggled against his plating, a gesture which would have once made him feel extremely awkward and out of his depth and now is something natural. Gently he soothingly rubs her back, unable to really hug her back due to their size difference* i'm sure Ratchet and Bluestreak just want to spend some time together, Sari.

*he murmurs in reply, sensing that the topic was an uncomfortable one at best. He lights up when she mentions the piano* yes! Very new. *he smiles happily, his voice filled with fond affection* Jazz got it for me, from the warehouse. Our Swoop helped fly it all the way here.

*gazes at the piano, visor glowing softly* its beautiful isn't it? I'm still not great at playing but I'm learning.

Yeah, they want to spend time together. Without her, ever. Even though Ratchet had promised that would change.

She frowns, but doesn't say anything. She's not going to spoil Prowl's good mood by whining.

Instead, she looks over the piano. Admittedly, she doesn't know much about them, but it does look nice.

It's really pretty. How long have you had it? Do you know any whole songs yet?

How does Sari feel about exploring dark and winding caverns behind waterfalls? Because Animated Swoop is looking for BRAVE and DARING Adventurers to go into the Great Unknown! For...uh. Great Justice. And. uh. Cookies! ...but mainly because he doesn't want to go by himself (it's very Dark...)

*knock knock knock* There's a Dinobot at the medbay door.

"Anybot home?"

Sari is in the kitchen, putting away the eggs she's harvested from the chickens when she hears Swoop's call.

I'm in the kitchen Swoop!

"Sari!" Have a...rather oddly dressed Swoop stick his head in looking for you. Indeed, your eyes do not decieve you, he does indeed have a helmet with a torch on his head (somehow). Also he's carrying a bag that looks suspiciously like it has a lot of cookies in it, and has what looks like grappling equipment of some form.

"Hello! What you Sari doing today? Is busy?"

She blinks at him a couple times as she takes in his peculiar ensemble.

No, I'm not busy. Why are you wearing a hat with a light? You don't need a hat.

Sari settles herself on Swoops back.

Ready when you are, Swoop!

She waves at other Swoop as they fly off, and then settles in to enjoy the flight.

Um... let's go whichever way you and Jazz didn't go. That way it'll be at least a little new to you, too.

"Secret Garden then! Us start there, go in backwards. Is very wet, you Sari is not minding?"

Sounds good. And water is fine, Swoop. I don't mind.

You say that now...

"Ok!" And lets go!

You'll recognise where we're heading, no doubt - Swoop's favourite place, the big waterfall and the lake where he likes to laze around. But this time we won't stop, instead heading up and over the falls, to where the forest grows tall and dense and the mountains start to rise. The river glints silver, winding its way to the falls from some distant source. Then quite suddenly we're dipping down and down, to a cleft in the ground, almost invisible from above. On landing you'll find Swoop's Secret Garden - once upon a time one of the tributaries of the river eroded through the stone below, creating a small waterfall and pool before running off somewhere else. The walls are tall, with no obvious exit, and covered in greenery. There are even fish in the pool.

"Here we are!"

She can definitely agree with that.

That was a terrifying adventure. Next time we bring Prowl or Jazz with us.

Sari settles against Swoop's back and lets herself be soothed by the simple act of flying.

I don't think it was a monster. It was probably just some kind of weird cave animal. Probably.

He's starting to feel a bit silly, really, out here in the daylight. Is he a Dinobot or not?

"Him Grimlock be so ashamed of me Swoop. But very, very scary. Next time - us bring lights. And weapons. And them Prowl & Jazz. Maybe him Other Swoop."

Basically everyone he can find.

"Us so scared by maybe-monster that us forget to bring present for him Other Swoop."

But we don't much feel like going back right now...

eerian_sadow August 24 2011, 05:42:52 UTC
Yeah, well, Grimlock isn't always smart enough to be afraid when he should be. If he ever finds out and gives you crap about it, I'll give him a piece of my mind.

And then she giggles, struck by how ridiculous the idea is that she would run away from a mystery creature in a dark cave but will stand up to the bad-tempered leader of the Dinobots.

Sari sobers a bit when Swoop points out that they forgot Other Swoop's present, though.

Aww, it'll be okay. I'm sure he'll just be happy that we got home safe and with no injuries that he needed to repair.

"Him Grimlock not scared of anything" Nothing Grimlock would ever admit to, anyway. And your comment gets a giggle in return.

"Me Swoop would like to see that! Teach him Grimlock to respect humans!"

Have a soft sigh. "Me Swoop left pack back there too. Will have to go back and get it sometime." But not now. "Him Other Swoop will be happy us have no injuries! At least us have good story to tell?"

((OOC: in from here.))

She really, really likes this poem. It's sweet, and it sounds especially nice in Jazz's voice. And she doesn't miss when Prowl joins them in singing the chorus softly and that's nice too. She could get used to this.

"In the dark blue sky you keep, and often through my curtains peep. For you never shut your eye, 'til the sun is in the sky."

Jazz leant against the piano bench, his smile widening as Prowl joined in, the music and all three of their mingled voices filling their little corner of the Dojo.

"Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are..."

Up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky. Twinkle Twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are

*enjoying their little sing song, he can't help but smile brightly as he's playing. It was nice. He certainly hoped he could learn more songs that maybe Jazz would want to sing for with him. Glancing down at Sari, Prowl felt it was good for her aswell. She was smiling for the first time since she'd arrived and seemed to have relaxed with them. He still thought that the medbay wasn't a good environment for a young girl to live in*

Sari pauses her humming for a moment during the verse to take a quick sip of her juice, but she doesn't miss a bit of the chorus. She's having way too much fun with this, and she'll have to ask if they know anything else they can sing together when this song is over.
