Slipstream was lurking about this part of the Nexus on foot. She carried no particular gear or equipment that would indicate her personal agenda. The spinning movement and transformation drew her attention, and she looked down, perhaps jaded, at the distraught bot.

"Pretty upset about a little spin-out, aren't ya?"

Slipstream winced and then drew both her arms toward her, and crossed them over her canopy. She looked closely at Topspin's arms. "Doesn't look like you got too attached to it."

She searched her cache for any topic other than wounded or replaced limbs. "Yeah...one picks up things. Some bot who used to be around here did some work with a mine. You notice of the 'nerds' ever analyzed minerals or worked with chemical compounds? Just thinking...for the good of the community...I could look into the mining or help process compounds. I got data on certain compounds installed."

"Oh ha ha, very funny." The smirk that tilted his lip components faded a bit at the look on her face and the body language that was screaming 'uncomfortable topic'. The Wrecker leaned his elbows on his knee joints with a sigh.

"I can take a look at them if you want. I'm not licensed, but I'm no hack either."

Slipstream nodded. "I don't have samples with me, but I'm sure something can be arranged. The research Facility where I work doesn't have equipment for chemistry...but we have energon...for community use."

She was figuratively stumbling over producing the appropriate mineral compounds for cloud seeding. It wasn't like she was trying to manipulate the weather for everyone; the truce and community cooperation was to her advantage. She wanted to achieve very localized effect.

He chuckled a little bit. That wasn't what he'd meant.

"I meant that I would took a look at your arms. One of 'em looks injured from where I'm sitting...the way you're favoring it."

He shrugged at her offer. "I'm not sure how much I could help you. Mining? Maybe. My brother was a miner.."

Slipstream became quickly irrational with fear that her weakness was known. She couldn't process the logic that she really was affected enough to make it obvious, without intent. "Nothing happened to my arm!" she screeched.

Her other schemes seemed less important now. "Forget it. really. It wasn't the best plan." It was a petty vengeful plan that made her feel very 'Starscream'. "I'll make a new strategy...a better one."

Topspin winced at the sudden outburst. "Fine, Primus," he snorted, rubbing an audio with the palm of his hand. "No need to get all screechy on me. It was just an offer."

Her other mumblings...didn't make a whole lot of sense to him.

Topspin's subdued response prompts Slipstream to realize she has been the one at fault for letting her emotions get the best of her, again. She can't yet manage to go out in public and hold a conversation with practical strangers, without uncomfortable subjects coming up.

But, of course, she's not going to admit she knows she's wrong to the bot.

She speaks slowly, with forced calm. "Your offer is noted. We are all equally stuck here; it's not like I am trying to start fights." Especially not while she's the one with so few allies.

Focus, she reminds herself.

"Really should talk to one of your buddies," She says, with a bit more of her usual caustic manner.

Slipstream turns, just watching Topspin in the periphery of her vision, as she scans the skies.

And, where are my trusted confidants or subordinates? She wonders. Not that she really wants to talk.

The jumpstarter merely shrugs and offers up a subdued grin to the Seeker. "Whatever you say, Birdy."

Starting fights with the 'cons? No. Being snarky to them? Why not?

"I'll keep it in mind."
