//If that was a serious suggestion, perhaps you don't need any subordinates.//
*He supresses a shift in the pitch of his engine. It isn't jealousy exactly - and he still can't bring himself to believe that Cyclonus would lower himself enough to interface with the Terrorcon - but something like it. Sinnertwin appears to have managed something that Vortex has been trying to attain since their first encounter in the Nexus, and it really gets to him.
He considers making a break for it, but there's nowhere he can realistically go. Well, apart from certain Autobots, and none of those are any match for Cyclonus.*
*He whimpers quietly as the blade cuts deep, far deeper than his self repair can adequately deal with.
Finally, he can feel what Cyclonus is doing, and it is wonderful. The first time, he'd been exhausted, barely clinging to consciousness, and his memories of the event are patchy and indistinct. His memories of the second time are crisp, but he could hardly feel it due to Cyclonus' disconnection of part of his sensor net.
This time, however, is perfect. Or as near to perfect as it can be, given the circumstances. He tries not to let the charge build, as he can't see Cyclonus doing anything to relieve him afterwards, but his efforts are futile, it's just too good.*
*Vortex is enjoying this entirely to much--Cyclonus can feel the charge against the knife and see it gathering in the connector and port.
He doesn't allow it to distract him from his task, though. Carving his true Lord's name is deeply satisfying, and his own panel prickles slightly. It would be nice if Lord Galvatron had labeled him this way...though Lord Galvatron had had his own way of labeling him, and he'd gone through interface panels fairly regularly back on Chaar.
And all that was left of thathad been irretrievably lost to Cyclonus' own dip into the CR tank.
He dug a little deeper into Vortex' panel, almost slicing some of the wiring underneath. Perhaps he could get Scorponok to reprogram the thing.*
*He bites his lip, so very glad he has his mask back, and that Cyclonus can't see him doing that. He has the urge to sprawl out on his back and utter a very unsutble 'take me, I'm yours', but he doesn't think that would go down very well right now, especially as he's technically still meant to be being punished.
Then Cyclonus digs deeper, and it's all he can do not to launch himself at those exceptionally tempting antennae*
*Cyclonus angles the knife very, very carefully--cutting as deep as he can without cutting anything he doesn't want to cut. One hand goes to Vortex' hip, holding him in place.
The 'copter better not decide to move until he finishes with him.*
