[OOC: Closed post between IDW Sideswipe and IDW Blurr. Trying to get this plotty stuff out of the way here.]
IDW Sideswipe*It seemed like it had been forever since Siders and his twin returned from their trip, and at the time he'd been happy... over joyed even. Of course when the news about Mirage being missing... and seriously hurt had been

*The red frontliner's so distracted he doesn't even hear Blurr at first, doesn't even notice him until the blue racer is practically sitting right next to him. His friend's 'sudden appearance' startles him and he flinches, turning to stare at the mech, half expecting an attack; at least until he realizes it's just Blurr and relaxes again.*
Oh... hey, Blurr. *he picks up a small rock and tosses it into the river, watching as it splashes into the water.* What's up? *he doesn't really sound all that interested, but he'll pretend he is in an effort to at least look like he's alright.*

*he gives a casual shrug, stretching his legs out and slipping them into the water. He watches as some of the mud and dust still covering his frame from the other day, washes away with the slow current.* Fine.

Yeah right... sure. You can totally tell that just by the way he looks at me. *His tone is bitter, somewhat resentful, uncertain who he should believe when almost all the mechs who claim to care for him are either angry enough to kill him or ignore him all together... save one.* I used to work with a few nobles before the war... It was... a learning experience. *huffs* And I doubt Mirage is going to fall for me... *he could go on and list perfect examples for why, but chooses not to. Instead he just sits in the water, sealing his vents and flops backwards to let the cleanser rinse away.* //It's just dirt.// *he doesn't tell Blurr that when he went looking or Mirage the first time he got stuck knee deep in thick, sticky mud, then dragged around by his neck before having his aft handed to him. It's possible he missed some of it, though he doesn't think he missed enough to be that dirty... and he honestly doesn't remember much from the other day when they went looking for Mirage, other than the anger and shock over what

*he couldn't care less if he's presentable, more likely than not he's just going to go out and get dirty again anyway so he doesn't really see the point, at least right now. Normally he wouldn't feel quite this annoyed about getting this stuff off his plating and out of his joints, but right now... Heaving a sigh he pushes himself up, letting the water run off his helm and shoulders.* There? Are you happy now? *You're never going to be good enough, that annoying little voice chimes in, sounding far too self satisfied, Never good enough for any of them. He just wants to smash his head against a wall.*

*he peers over his shoulder at Blurr, lifting an optic ridge at the mech clinging to him. Rolling his optics he pushes himself up and gets to his pedes.* You can't make me drink, you do realize that don't you? I'll just sit on your aft and squish you again.

*heaving an exaggerated sigh he turns and tromps loudly towards the building.* I'm going to squish you. You do know this right? Flat. Like a blue bug. And when I'm done squishing you... I'm going to kick you into the river, and bury you under a few really large rocks. *he's not looking forward to heading back inside, he doesn't want to be anywhere near any of them... not right now. But he's unwilling to admit, even to himself, that he's a little bit afraid... and his tank churns uncomfortably at the very idea of putting any energon into it.*
