(OOC: While I am sure nerdlab residents would love to welcome guests, and that is their call, you should be careful approaching a Kup without a cygar. And if you are puzzled by that statement, then you definitely do not want your character looking for him unless the potential of losing limbs excites you. Not trying to be a wench, just keepin' it

Something was up. Perceptor wasn't sure exactly what it was but a small, nagging voice in the back of his processor was telling him that something was not right in the world or, more specifically, the lab.
Watching several of the tests he was running for a long moment, his vents cycled in a sigh as one of them finished and the results came back negative. Closer than the last test but still nothing that would be a good match to the crystals he used in the cy-gars.
..Cy-gars..
Optics flickering some he left his experiments to run their course, feeling the need to check in on a certain old mech. Perhaps that had nothing to do with his nagging feeling but..it was a good place to start. Making his way through the halls Perceptor bee-lined for the door to the room he knew Kup had been inhabiting hesitating only a moment before he rapped lightly on it.
"Sir? Are you there?"

In his current state, it sounded like somebot was nearly beating the door down and his optics only grew wider and more terrified as the offender screamed through the door. The old mech drew his knees to his chest plating, trying to readjust his audios, but to no avail. The slightest noise felt like it was ripping his processors apart. It was only after a moment or two that he realized he had unknowingly turned off his ventilation system, and with much needed cycle of air his processors finally realized it was Perceptor's voice that was calling out to him.
"... 'm fine, lad." Kup rubbed at his helm once more, after tilting it down to rest on his knee joints. "Just nappin'."

That worried feeling only grew as Kup finally spoke, Perceptor's optics dimming as he rested his shoulder against the door.
"...Have you refueled today, sir?" he asked, planning on being a pest until Kup opened the door, the scientist using his sensors to run a scan of the mech behind the door.

Kup gritted his denta, hands clenching around his audio tighter. Primus knew he loved the youngin' as if he were his own, but all he wanted right now was for him to shut the frag up and go away before his audios shorted out. He decided on a half truth. "Tank's upset. Ain't felt like it."

Drift was currently sitting underneath a tree that was close to the Nerdlab when he felt a wave of concern slip over his bond with Perceptor
"//Everything all right?//"
He knew that it wasn't always something to be concerned about, but he couldn't help but make sure every time that something other than a good emotion filtered through the bond.

Thought so.
Just as he was about to do a quick scan-hack, the scientist was caught off guard by his mate, hesitating for a moment.
//I believe Kup may be slacking on his medication via the cy-gars.\\
"Sir, open the door please." One last chance, Kup, before Perceptor let himself in.

"... minute. Joints 're stiff." He glared at the door, stuffing his cygar between his lips and biting down gently, taking just enough of a drawl to keep his demons at bay before attempting to slide off the berth, his timer he created just to gauge the effect of the doses he normally took counting down. He stood at the door, optics off, whispering an internal prayer to Primus that he'd like what he saw on the other side. The old mech hit the control for the door when the timer hit zero.
His optics flickered as they adjusted to the light, half expecting his nightmare to appear in front of him.
He found a dark, gritty profile of Perceptor's frame instead.
Kup forced a soft smile. "Whatcha need kid."

"//Hmm...is he ok? Is he hallucinating again?//"
Drift was growing concerned.

-He had been working on analyzing one of the samples he had gathered when Drift's comm came through. Pausing in his work, the scientist responded.-
[Yes, Drift? How may I be of assistance?]
Reply
[Would you be able to meet Perceptor in the lab and help him with something?]
Drift didn't want to divulge any more information other than what was necessary, if Perceptor wanted to say more then it would be him that will.

[Of course. I shall be there shortly.]
-Perceptor moves to put what he was working on in a safe spot before heading out to the lab.-
