Returning to the lab from his venture out in the woods, Drift stopped before the door to the room that Perceptor and him share. A warm emotion flitted across the bond, making him smile. The door slid open and Drift stepped inside, a smile splitting his faceplates as he saw his mate sitting on the berth. He was glad that Perceptor was taking a little time off from his busy schedule.
"I hope I wasn't gone too long." He walked over to the red mech and sat next to him, placing a hand on his knee.
He almost didn't realize anyone was there until he realized that presence he was feeling in his spark was a lot closer than before. And then of course Drift spoke.
Glancing up at his mate, the scientist smiled, setting the datapad aside.
"Very much so, I think I might have intruded upon a training spot used by a very different Prowl than the one we know. I think he might be from the same universe as the other Perceptor, the uh...weird one."
He tried to refrain from using the term 'weird' but since there were 2 other possible Perceptors...he had to differentiate them somehow.
"But this would have been the 3rd time that we have met, we got to talking and decided that it would be a good idea to create a dojo for mechs who would like to have a place to train and spar. It would also be a chance to improve my skills by learning new techniques from others. Prowl has another friend who might be interested, if so, then we will get to work constructing an adequate place."
Drift smiled and traced Perceptor's jaw line with a finger, "It will keep me from distracting you all the time." He winked.
"He is no more weird than the other Perceptor and I," the sniper pointed out, frowning just slightly at the use of the term 'weird'. He knew Drift meant no harm; he was just very protective of his counterparts it seemed.
Listening to his mate talk about what had taken place while he was gone, Perceptor tilted his head a bit, smiling faintly again.
"Sounds like you will finally have something to occupy your time," he teased, leaning into the light touch from the other mech. "And you are hardly an unwelcome distraction..but it would be nice to be able to research this place a little more." He reached up to snag Drift's hand, lacing their fingers together. "I do enjoy your company greatly though."

"Of course not. Enjoy yourself?"
