Prompts: Leaders and The Other Guy
Inferno is working outside the WTP Facility, sorting through a large pile of scrap-metal. Each piece is inspected, scanned, then set aside into one of several piles of similar scraps. It's a fairly mindless task, so he doesn't feel too bad about calling up his prompt list while he works.
Leader. *hums as he examines a piece of metal, pushing a digit into it, optics flickering as it leaves a dent* A leader must be strong. Their will is indomitable. If there is any sign of dissent within their subjects, it must be taken care of swiftly, and without mercy. They cannot bend, and they cannot break, or another will step into their place and destroy them.
My Leader, My Queen.... *shakes his head, discarding the bit of soft metal carelessly* He is not used to leadership yet. He will improve with time. And the Royalty is not.... *grinds his teeth and picks up another piece of metal*
The Colony must be United. There can be no “Other Guy” among the workers and soldiers. We are all One, and must work Together for the good of the Royalty and Each Other. Yes, we are separate individuals with specialized skills, but we cannot exist on our own. If we are not United, the Colony dissolves and we are all Lost and Alone. We take care of each other, support one another. The Soldiers protect the Workers who take care of all the mundane necessities like food and supplies and caring for the young and injured. The Royalty provide direction, new soldiers and new workers.
*pauses, setting the metal in his hand into a pile* I have never had a Colony that operates as such, but I know that is how it is supposed to be. Well, the New Colony would, if My Queen and the Royalty were willing to reproduce, but they will not even consider it.
Of course, four bots a Colony does not make. *huffs and tosses a few more scraps into piles* And the Royalty doesn't even to think about Scorponok. I know he does not stay with us, and that he is not affectionate the way the Royalty likes, but that does not make him any less important. I wish that I could have him closer. That somehow, I could gather Quickstrike and Rampage, and even that awful clone and the spiders together. I do not think they would be too keen to follow the Queen, and really, only Megatron was strong enough and smart enough to truly lead us...
Enough of this. I serve my Queen with all that I am. It does no good to look to the past.
