If I'm not mistaken, I believe something similar to #2 popped up on the kinkmeme. I'm not sure if it ever got filled though.

1. it'd be no different than guys named Richard. They sometimes have Dick as a nickname.

True, but AFAIK the proper name came first, and the slang developed from it later. Humans seem to have a thing for transforming innocuous language into something less than innocuous...

...although there are mechs with names like Overload, Afterburner and Slag out there, which makes you think. Did their parents actually name them that, or did they pick those names themselves at a certain age?

I still think it's a funny idea.
