The combination of 3, 4 & 5 sounds to me like a Seeker sparkling gets rescued from scientific experimentation by Soundwave. It's still scared of any large mechs but Soundwave and the Cassettes are rehabilitating it.

Hum-hum, that's a different spin. They actually go with a bunny from my previous post involving Shockwave, the idea being what would it be like for Starscream to be raised by Megatron and his two favorite cronies. But I like your idea too, now where to put it?

I see what you mean - he's getting abused by Shockwave and maybe Megatron? I guess my mindset went a bit more to the kinder end of the scale there.

I can also see it with Starscream being the sparkling, having been rescued from Shockwave's lab by Soundwave.

Well, Shockwave and Megatron do their damage in their own unique ways, and Soundwave is just left with the uphill battle of fixing it. Either that or he is a manipulative fragger and has his own method of torment. I did kind of want to give little Starscream an out. That and seeing a bunch of Autobots wig-out over movie!Soundwave acting all parental to a supposedly murderous Seeker was rather amusing.
