Ok, on Mythbusters, they connected two phone books simply by interweaving all the pages, one on top of the other, and tried to pull the books apart. They even attached the books to two cars and tried to drive in separated directions. The phone books won. They just couldn't be pulled apart. I remember that episode! It would be rather funny to see this. Though I suppose that cybertronians would have more horsepower than your average car. Still, the idea is rather appealing.

I think you're missing a word from "Putting the book between two worked." Possibly tanks?
