A Prowl video

Has anybody ever seen a movie called The Fountain? Wonderful movie and wonderful MUSIC by Clint Mansell. The song at the climactic scene is an instrumental called "Death is the Road to Awe" and it(along with the climax of the film) took my breath away. I knew exactly what I had to do with that piece of music. All I could think about was TFA Prowl ( Read more... )

Huh? It's not slow motion for eight minutes.

Well. I think I managed to peek into it up to two minutes, and the music did not change, so I assume it's pretty much the same all the while, nice, slow and instrumental. (And if not, the upbuild is slow, and I don't have the patience to sit through it to the climax.)

So it's definitely not an AMV, which has three types: beatsynch, lyricsynch and lipsynch. It's Prowl's scenes cut together with a nice but kinda slow (and thus, slightly monotonous) music.

If I want to relive the best Prowl moments, I'll just watch the eps in better quality-

Right, fine, but don't judge a video off the first two minutes. Why did you comment if you didn't bother to watch?

Eeeeee Clint Mansell. I can listen to his tracks all day one way or the other. Generally I would say that such long pieces don't lend themselves to AMVs very well, especially ones with so much 'slow build', but I think this came out surprisingly well for that. You're right that it sits nicely with TFA!Prowl's character.

Long story shorter: I glee'd.

I remember being so devastated that I cried the day Endgame II aired. Now when I watch the series, I see where he developed and changed. That moment was the culmination of ALL he learned, and I wanted to put that into a video. I just didn't have the right music until I heard that track, and BINGO, it came to me.

Still laughing at one person who didn't give it a chance and thinks it's eight minutes of slow motion. A few scenes are slowed for effect, but MOST of them are normal speed! Working longer takes to fit the music was pretty dang hard and took the majority of the time making this video. There are no filler scenes--they all mean something.

Thanks for watching!

Ah, Prowl's death. At first I was like "D=" but then I was like "='D". They really handled his character and development well. Goddamn, now I'm getting all misty-eyed missing this show. I'm not even young enough for it to be nostalgia goggles.

To be fair, there's no reason to laugh. I know there are certain AMVs that I'll start and then close well before they're done. Some speeds, styles, songs, or random editing quirks will turn off any given person. It's all about personal preference. =) To each our own, amirite?

Yup, that's why I said "opinion" to them. ;)
