Different Transforming forms? O.o?

I was just curious...this has been bugging me forever! You know in the movie how Bumblebee was able to transform the Allspark down to a small size? What if the Autobots/Decepticons also had this quality and could transform down to human size? ...just a thought =]

I don't think so. I mean, it makes sense that the All-Spark can, its like... God. It has a maleable form. The autobots arn't the same. They have different heights and frame builds. I don't know if it COULD, someone would just need a very good explanation as to why. :) In Bay's terms, thats why Bee was a Camaro instead of a Bug, because Transformers transform, but NONE of the parts disappear or get bigger or smaller. They just change .. form. In a way. They actually made this a big part of making the movie: that parts couldn't just disappear and re-appear.

Though it would be funny to see a bunch of human sized 'bots running around. XD

He was a cell phone - After the death match between Bee & 'Cade, Mikaela left her purse by accident, Frenzy searched through it, finding her cell phone, and scanned it before she found out

Yes but before that Mikaela cut off Frenzys head, which he dragged off to her bag and became the phone. So he really don't get smaller the same way as the all spark did.

Thought later when he gets close to the all spark when Frenzy healed by the all spark and is given back the rest of his body.

Yeah, first a boom box and then a cell phone. And a cell phone is generally quite substantially lighter than a boom box. Can't believe someone didn't remark on one or the other.

It's called mass shifting, and aside from Frenzy-as-phone and the All Spark, Bay didn't want there to be any of it because of SCIENCE and PHYSICS.
Alternatively, G1 Megatron goes from being a 40-someodd-ft tall robot to a gun that switches between being small enough for another 'bot to handle, or a human.
(Also, Cybertronian guns must be made of light-weight stuff, because Spike's always picking up the damn things and firing them when they're bigger than he is.)

What I'm wondering is to what extent they can switch alt-forms after they've scanned one. Bumblebee goes from '77 Camaro to '09 Camaro, which is really quite a jump---the body and engine and everything have changed substantially and I don't see how calling them by the same name would magically make it easier to shift oneself into a new alt-form. I guess it's just a bit of work, above and beyond normal transformations---thing is, I don't see why, say, Blackout, would be stuck as a helicopter, couldn't he scan and change into another tractor-trailer like Optimus Prime, should the situation call for it? Or Prime scan himself some kind of flying thing---I've read fanfics that deal with the Autobots being limited in that they can't fly . . . but why?

That, and can they change paint color on a dime?

Interesting question... I'm pretty sure that they can change ALT modes; if Bee can, why not the others? I'm guessing the reason the Autobots can't fly is b/c the original G1 thing was that flying was pretty much a Decepticon trait only.
