The thread of Prime's agony just manages to stay like a discordant note beneath all the other joyous things happening in the story. Even if you only obliquely mention it, it claws at the back of my mind.

How the heck does Galvatron have the stamina for all of these warped kindlings? If the reflected pain is enough to scare Prime, and even that is difficult to comprehend, how does being the initiator not simply rend him apart?

So Metroplex's evacuation codes... Valkyrie = "GAH! RUN AWAY" and Macross = "F-this, Imma outta here." There any others?

Poor abused puppies of the Constructicons, and Perceptor being such an alpha about his turf. An interesting twist for him.

Beautiful, as always. And I adore your efficacy of language, you strike to the core without getting lost in words for the sake of word count. *hugs*

My feeling is that Galvatron kind of gets off on it. The fact that each mis-kindling knocks him on his aft for several days/weeks means Optimus gets a reprieve. Kind of like having monthlies. In hell. DX

AHAHAHAHA! No, just those two. Robot mode and spaceship/battle platform mode. ;D

I think Perceptor and Scrapper had a lot of classes together at university. And were mutually antagonistic then, too. Then they ended up on opposite sides in the war. BFF? No. Not so much. XDDD

Absolutely loved the bitch-fest between Perceptor and the Constructicons:

Laughing so hard at this I scared the dog... But the way it turned serious, and sad, with Scavenger was just nicely handled.

Prowl's integration being a favorite memory of Optimus' is so sweet. Fascinating how different pre-war society seems to have been. Prowl's slow recovery feels realistic and I'm all "hmmmm" on Prowl's predictive ability. Interesting!

Did Borealis suggest Plexie's evacuation codes? It seemed like her sense of humor (and cracked me up!). Her "Boom de yada..." was just perfect.

Yes!!! I wanted to show how differently integration was handled, before! They didn't hustle him off somewhere private... There are so many reasons for the change, but it was so much fun to write that little tidbit of prewar life. <3
