Sunstreaker had never felt so impatient in his life, at least as far as he could recall at the moment. He and Sideswipe had been scouting out some backwater solar system when they'd gotten Prime's broadcast. It had been less than a nanoclick before they'd locked in the coordinates, transformed, and took off

Sunstreaker engaged his brakes, tires screaming on the pavement, and narrowly missing getting his frontend clipped by a ragged black vehicle barrelling onto the highway.
Still fuming over the crossed comm.link lines, the Viper gunned his engine and hurtled after the other vehicle, the narrow miss only fueling his already flagrant anger.
"Oh, you are so slagged you fragging liar," he retorted calmly, ignoring whatever else Barricade was attempting to babble about. Sunny's headlights had clearly picked out the Decepticon isignia couched amongst other foreign designs on the vehicle's side panels, and he felt a surge of excitement tingle through is main circuitboard.
With that blow out tire, the other vehicle wasn't difficult at all to catch, and Sunstreaker gunned his engine, pulling even with the sparking Decepticon.
Feinting a sideram, the Viper swerved into the other's lane, barely missing a collision.
That should get that moron's attention, Sunstreaker thought smugly to himself. ( ... )

Well, more landed on him than hit him.
Several things happened simultaneously.
--Undercarriage ground against concrete as the extra weight registered, and exhausted rubber finally gave out with a conclusive little "pop!" and hiss as high-pressured air escaped. As if one ruined tyre wasn't enough, Sideswipe now had two.
--Tactile sensors logged pain through Sideswipe's electronic web of circuitry and he gave out a violent shudder that was the robot equivalent of a wince.
--Recognition software matched the speech patterns and electronic-metrics that he had known since his creation.
--But now the form that was atop Sideswipe's roof had metallic digits securely and painfully wedged into his frame, curses in Cybertronian reaching his audio receptors.
Sideswipe growled. Fight first, ask questions later. It was how the warrior twins operated. And now Sideswipe was receiving a taste of his own medicine.

Clinging tightly to the roof of the wildly swerving vehicle, Sunstreaker dug his fingers in all the more deeply, trying to wedge the plating away from the frame so that he could get to the more delicate parts inside.
The grinding of the Decepticon's undercarriage against the black surface was satisfying indeed. The second blown out tire was an added bonus.
Several blaring squawks distracted the Viper, and he looked up to the sullen red glows of tail lights up ahead, as well as another vehicle in the far lane that Barricade had swerved into upon impact. This had just gotten a lot more complicated as Prime had always frowned on either of the twins' penchant for collateral damage.
However, Sunstreaker was not about to let this opportunity go to waste.
"Open up you rustbox! Let me have the worthless spark of yours!"
