question! if i manage to turn in a submission before the new deadline, will my drop-out still be used up? or is it once i drop-out i'm dropped out of that round for good?

If you submit before the deadline, the drop out will not be used because you still got an icon in for that challenge. =)

Try to remind me, though, so I can add you back to the list of people with extra. ^_^
