Sometimes I wonder why, if so many things I want in my life are in place, or at least close to it, I'm still so unhappy much of the time

Remember too that there are people out there who love you for just who you are. (warts and all as they say)So you're not alone in your army. That's the wonderful thing about our species. We are all unique individuals, no two alike. Sure there are some ignorant individuals who are bigots in one fashion or another. I've found that even the most open minded person can have certain prejudices. That's their loss. You shouldn't have to alter who you are just to fit into some person's perception of you.

I guess I just envy people who can be assured that they have a tribe, or family or something. I know I have people who care for me--if not as many as I'd like--but I miss that sense of being part of a cohesive group.
