We've been lucky (to my mind, not to most Montrealers' though) to have had rainy and "cold" weather here most of the summer so far - "cold" in summer in Montreal means less than 25C/77F; humidity is a huge factor and 25 w/out it is "cold" but 25 w/a humidex of 30 (86F) is comfortable to most Montrealers. Not me.
This year it's only in the last few days that the weather is getting "normal" here, which is to say regular temps of 30C/86F and a "humidex reading" (it's really called that!) of 38C/near 95F. Nowhere near as bad as it has and can (and maybe still will) get through August and early September, but I have to be thankful for the weeks that have been bearable that usually aren't at this time of year.
And I wait, and pray to Herself, for mid-September to come. In the meantime, my condolences....
