Casual Thursday

I'm teaching a class this afternoon. I do this every couple of months for a variety of people and institutions. I mainly teach graduate or professional school classes, but sometimes I'll do refresher or continuing education courses. Usually, I get an hour or two to talk about whatever I'm talking about, and I get respectful silence through most ( Read more... )

I great Admirals and heads of government agencies here, all the time. I talk to Nobel Lauriats and chill with world famous physicists. I have bright purple hair, a tat peeking out from my black v-neck, and usually wear jeans or black dockers and platform mary janes.

I call Shenanigans. SRSLY. It's 90% attitude at work.

Ya know, if I was a boy in that class, I'd be so tempted to be well shaven (poss incl legs), wear a conservative shirt and tie, a dark blue suit-skirt, and hose. I'm not sure what kind of shoes would be considered appropriate for that outfit though...

I would also probably get a tasteful pair of small clip on earrings.

Just to make a point.

Hell, if I was a girl in that class and could find a guy to go along with it, we could go as twins!
