Chicken has INDEED grown into a distiguished young lady. SO. Damn. Cute. too. As is Liv, who clearly shares the Solis gene pool of gorgeousness ;).

Ooh, I like that one. And sorry to say, after 4.5 years, I'm *still* in that stage.

LOL, I recall a similar conversation recently. But she is soooo cute. GREAT ears! How is the blanket progressing?

Blanket is sort of progressing, though it's taken a back seat to the halloween costume this week. I sort of screwed it up and had to start over again, but now I'm pretty happy with it. What's your schedule next week? This week is pretty crazy, but other than handing out candy to the kiddies Wednesday and seeing the New Pornographers on Thursday and maybe going to the quilt show sometime, next week looks pretty open.

Next week is pretty much open except for Tuesday afternoon. Is the costume name a secret?

Well it's more of a Burning Man costume than a Halloween costume, so it doesn't really have a name. There are five or six of us doing the same thing, so we're saying we're the free radicals from the periodic table if anyone asks. I think I claimed neon.

Basically, we're shredding material into long strips and then turning those strips into skirts. We're wearing corsets/busiers with them, fishnets and boots. Our hair will also be adorned with the ripped up fabric and I think we're going to also decorate top hats. I've gone with a dark purple and pink and gold color scheme in chiffons and tuille and lame, and universally everyone loves my black Lady Marlene corset with the skirt, though I could wear my purple brocade bustier (which was the basis for the color choice). The corset looks better but the bustier is more dance friendly.

The ears! :) Very cute. :)

And I actually like most of the CD that song is from.
