Boring rearranging post, skip...

I have made a decision about the washer and dryer in my spare room. Originally, I had thought that I would put them on my back porch, and then build a shed around them. But when I got a quote, it was astronomical. So I put it off, and I put it off.

Today, I moved my tv into my "spare" room, and rearranged my living room so it would be more inviting. I'm about to drill holes in my floor so I can wire the surround sound and cable. I can't wait to crawl under the house!

The washer and dryer are still sitting here, mocking me. They take up so much space, and really should be somewhere else. But there's no where else to put them in my house. So I'm going to get rid of them entirely. I've decided that I'm going to get a washer/dryer combo that runs off my AC current and put it in the kitchen next to the sink. Installation won't cost nearly as much as moving pipes and vents and building sheds, and I'm not losing that much storage space in my kitchen.

I can't tell you guys how much of a relief it is to have come to this decision. I'm pretty sure that the washer and dryer in the bedroom was the reason I got this house for so cheap. And the downside of the washer / dryer combo (takes longer to do multiple loads) is minimized because I tend to do my laundry in the morning, switching from washer to dryer when I get home.

In other news, I'm probably going to steal my sister's desk from the ranch and use it as my computer desk. It will go very well with my desk, and I think it will compliment the room. It's such a mish-mash here now, that any sort of order or continuity will help things considerably.

I'm also headed to pier one later today to buy another bookshelf. My living room / dining room has been split apart now. I put the sofa in the middle of the room, and it nicely divides the two areas on one end, but I think that one more bookshelf will help complete the division. Plus, I always need more bookshelves. Plus, their chinelle pillows are on sale for 12 bucks and I want a few more for my sofas. The ones on my old sofa are a bit ratty, and I could use one or two accent pillows on the new sofa.

I warned you that this is a boring post.
