[Follows THIS and THIS]Tim managed to locate the letter crushed down the back of the sofa. He'd pretty much forgotten it after Mac left and eight episodes of The Simpsons back-to-back came on the TV. It was probably a miracle he even remembered to mention it to Sam. Mac in Copzilla mode had been a little unnverving, but Homer's hunger strike was ( Read more... )

Sam had to admit she was intrigued about what could have made Mac go all Copzilla on Tim's ass. Not to mention what it was he had to show her. Part of her had been ready to ask him if he couldn't just show her whatever it was in the bedroom, but seeing a piece of paper, no matter how scrunched up and stained, she knew it was important.

Sam took it off him, and smiled a little at his clarification before she settled herself on his lap and started to read. She was quiet for a few moments as she read each line carefully, even having to re-read to make sure the crinkles and grease stains hadn't changed any of the words.

Tim scratched his nose and shrugged. "Yeah, Mac said the same sorta thing. She opened the letter, but I dunno, S. Says I gotta go t'New York for an interview thing. Then, I kinda maybe promised Mac I would because she growled at me. I think she's definitely having her time of the month thing. She was kinda scary." He looked at the letter and shrugged again. The enormity of it was lost on him.

Sam looked at Tim, used to the fact that things seemed to roll of him. She was still smiling though, still proud of him. "So go. It ain't gonna do ya any harm. I'll drive ya, or J can drive ya. Just be ya charmin' self. Think of the college as someone ya wanna get into panties of." She cleared her throat as she glanced down at her hands. It really wasn't going to be Mac's time of the month for a while yet. "I think she just doesn't wanna see ya waste a good opportunity."

"I ain't told Six. I kinda forgot 'bout. Plus with Mac sick and him wantin' t'propose, he's got a lot goin' on." Tim looked at the letter and his nose scrunched up. "It's too snotty. Look at the letter and the dudes in the picture at the bottom with slicked back hair and white teeth in their loafers an' fancy schmancy jackets. That ain't me."
