Top 10 TV Shows of '10: Number 2

My number two show fits perfectly on this list because it also features vampires, naked gladiators, alternate dimensions, and lavish musical numbers. Or was that just the weird fanfic I wrote? I'm not sure.

The List So Far:

10. Spartacus: Blood & Sand
9. Lost
8. The Vampire Diaries
7. Fringe
6. Party Down / Parks and Recreation / Community
5. Sherlock
4. ( Read more... )

The quote in the cut gave it away. I love all the 60s nostalgia: people smoking and drinking in their offices. Craziness!

Omg, you're hating on my number 1 pick before it even exists?! I'm going to assume it's not what you think it is, because if you're actually hating on it I'm afraid you've gone insane. ;)

Anyway, I think The Betty Situation is what keeps Mad Men out of the number 1 slot. She was possibly my favorite female character for the first three seasons (though it's really hard to choose one), and this year she was very marginalized, and then horribly shrewish when she was around. I still feel sympathy for her because I loved her so much to begin with, but when 99% of a show's fanbase starts hating a character, I think something went wrong with the writing.

My hope for next season is that we either get a more well-rounded version of Betty, or they just write her out of the show. I'd definitely prefer the former.
