Getting pretty sick of the cold. Does it ever stop with the fucking snow around here? No way in hell is it always like this.
...I take that back. Probably is. Weird shit hasn't stopped happening ever since I ended up here.
Any decent fighters around in this damn city? Bored as hell and I could use a good sparring match.

Forcing down the urge to shiver, she kept her one eye fixed in the direction of the road. Not that she really knew what exactly she was looking for with this stranger, but, well, it was bound to be obvious when he did show up.]

Somewhere in the back of her mind, she idly hoped that she wouldn't be too stiff-jointed still. She hadn't exactly tested her fighting ability since she'd come back from the dead. It'd be interesting, at least.
As he dipped into the bow, she gave an eyeroll. So damn dramatic.]
Ain't been here long. And the name's Baiken.
[Well, what point was there in putting it off? Falling into a defensive stance, her hand went to the hilt of her katana, fingers curling loosely around it.]
You ready, or are you one of those bastards who wants to chat it up forever first?

{He didn't seem at all phased as she slipped into a defensive stance, but he could feel the cool rush of adrenaline as his blood began pumping through his veins.}
Ready as I'll ever be.
{Even if he hadn't drawn that knife, or even moved an inch in his nonchalant stance? Yes, he was ready and watching you closely. He knew the signs, certain tensing of the body, a twitch in the face or finger... he'd watch closely indeed. In doing so he noted how that sleeve at her side hung loosely... so she was missing an arm along with that eye? She didn't ask for a handicap, besides, the sword made things even. He wouldn't insult her by holding himself back any.}

[So he was just gonna stand there and figure things out, eh? That was fine. She meant to test a few things out herself... starting with reflex. If this guy could dodge as well as he looked like he could, then she'd have to shift tactics.
Tightening her grip on the katana, she charged, throwing out a sharp upward slash once he was within range.]
