Found it. I cleaned out two drawers to no avail, and then I thought I had a fragment of a memory drift through my mind. I ran to check, and yup. It was in my backpack. *shakes head* I put it there saying, "I'll remember that this is here." Yeah, whatever. I'm a real genius sometimes.

Anyway, off to the Y.

i do that all the time. i put things places and say 'this is a great spot, i'll definitely remember this!' and then twenty minutes later have absolutely no clue where it was. i read in my intro psych book that people always think they'll remember where they put stuff if they put it in an unusual spot (or at least unusual for the person) and they rarely do... kind of amusing.

I'm STILL looking for my key to the classroom and practice rooms at West High which I deliberately placed "somewhere safe" when cleaning the house for the holidays. Maybe I should try your little "here, school keys...!" Hey, if it works!
