You wish to help me? An interesting assumption, but very well. There might be something where you could, indeed, be of help, in a manner of speaking.
I am thinking of a small problem, and I'm sure you will be able to solve it. Three nobles are in dispute over a small piece of land. It cannot be split in three, for geographical reasons. The only place the lands of the three nobles connect is on this piece of land.
The first noble claims the right is hers by birthright, as her family has controlled it for decades. The second noble claims the right is his by marriage, for his son has married the daughter of the first noble, and the land was agreed as a dowry, a claim the first noble disputes.
Finally, the third noble has occupied the small piece of land with a group of his soldiers, claiming the land is his, by right of conquest.
The king sends out his staff, and talks to the nobles alone, without disturbance. Finally, a decision was made that was most fair for each of the three noblesWhat was that decision? I am sure a politican

So you want me to solve this little problem for you? I should warn you, I do things different from you, and other Royals out there. So I will not say the answer was to kill all three of them and claim it as his own.
Very good for you to realize that I never specified who made the decision. That would, indeed, be the most obvious solution.
It would, however, not be the most fair - the inevitable civil war would massacre most of them, if not all, as survival would depend entirely on chance.

And what is luck, if not inherently unfair?
