[ A ♥ Action ]
[ Marron is in the simulation chambers, again.  If you visit frequently then you'll know that she's there at least once a day for a few hours. Today, the sixteen year old brunette seems to be doing some sort of target practice with two semi-auto pistols. But rather than firing bullets, these pistols are firing flashes of green light.

As a matter of fact it DOES get annoying, but humans just LOVE their endless socializing so there's no avoid it sometimes.

It's not just humans who love it, I'm sure. It's certainly an interesting part of the culture none the less. What are the views your people have on socializing?

Work together when you need to solve problems, other wise mind your own business or you're just leaving yourself vulnerable.

Of course, when you're this frail, I guess you all have to work together just to stay alive.

[ The final statement makes her smile a bit. ] I suppose that's true. Humans are to be frail by nature.

Minding your own business, though... hm, I suppose I'm guilty of not doing that. Though sometimes it pays to be a bit curious, hm?

Far as I know, there's no real exam. It just takes training.

Anyway, I wouldn't mind helping out. Using firearms just happens to be my area of expertise.

I'm quite willing to learn, in that case. I would truly appreciate your expertise.

[ She'll nod her head towards the video recorder. ]

What sort of weapon do you typically use? Mine are semi-automatic. They were not designed for 'real' ammo so I will need to test how they handle such a thing.

Gundam aside, I use handguns. I've got a standard gun -- well, standard for my world -- and a classic revolver. A .44 magnum, if you want to get into specifics.

A .44 magnum? I have seen those. The recoil was a bit more than I was comfortable with. You must have put in a lot of training.

My weapon was designed for my magic... It feels most similar to a K100. I believe the typical cartridge is 9x19 if it weren't for magic... Would I be able to find something similar here, would you think?

[Virgil whistled as she watched the display]

What kind of ammo is that might I ask?

My own. I based it on a 9mm. They use my magic.

[ The guns disappear and leave a pair of small pink ribbons, which Marron ties around the frog hairclip in her hair. ]

The cartridge case contains a simple spell that activates when I fire. These are test rounds meant for show. [ Then bows her head. ] Though I apologize. Am I in your way?

Not at all, just wonderin' how they compare to the Magus Shells from my world.

There is one difference right off the bat since the Magus Shells come pre-magicked, heard of no one that could pour their magic into a shell back home.

Pre-magicked? Are they perhaps something you might purchase, then? [ A pause, before she elaborates. ] It is not popular back in my home world for those with magic to select a firearm for their device. It is generally considered to be uncomfortably "personal".

[A relatively plain looking girl returns a reassuring smile to the flushed Marron. Marron would notice that Claude is eating barely anything. Only the amount necessary for sustenance. This includes a quarter of a plate of salad noticeably without meat and dressing and more water than anything solid.

But regardless, she looks as happy as Marron is attempting to be.]

Mm? Why should it be annoying? A meal is better enjoyed with company.
