1It's well into the wee hours of what passes for 'morning' in space, and Sumeragi is still at the bar. It had been fun, earlier, when there had been other people around - a few nice guys to flirt with, even if she wasn't seriously interested in them. But as the night wore on, and people left... well, there was a lot more room for introspection. And ( Read more... )

The one drinker who's been keeping up with Sumeragi all night - although focusing on beer rather than the hard stuff - still seems to be in a good mood as she flicks the shot-glass pyramid over, scattering glasses on both sides of the bar.

"Got too many bad mem'ries of pyramids," she comments, opening another bottle - the bartender had gotten sick of pulling drafts long ago.

Whatever particularly self-deprecating thought had been in Sumeragi's mind slips away as she blinks in surprise at the tinkling glassware.

"Could build a..." The word is /just/ out of reach - and yeah, she's a bit gone by this point of the evening.

"...a tube-thing," she finishes lamely. Close enough.

"A shot-tower of Babel, reaching to the heavens!" Misato declares, liking this idea.

"You're going to have to be in a better mood if you want to challenge God, though," she claims, waving a finger knowingly in Sumeragi's direction.

From the sudden look of painon Sumeragi's face, that was probably the wrong thing to say this many drinks in.
"...There's no god left in this world." She's seen too much pain to believe in that any more.

Setsuna gave her a brief sideways look, but logically, he knew that she needed to know this. Still, it was fairly obvious how much this bothered him. Well, obvious to anyone who actually knew him.

"We have information on some of them on file."

"I want a copy of those files as soon as possible then." While still cheerful, there's a briskness to her voice anyone who knew her would recognise as all business

Setsuna's expression gave her a good guess as to the answer of her next question, but it bears asking anyway.

"How do they match up to ours?"

Setsuna can do all business, and doesn't hesitate in answering.

"None of them run on GN drives, and don't possess anything similar to trans am. That said, most of them seem to run on miniaturized nuclear reactor, giving them power somewhere near the modified Overflag Units." Enough to give the 3rd Generation gundams some problems, but still behind the 3.5 Generation machines.

"The only one capable of causing significant trouble is the Strike Freedom," he noted, motioning towards the suit.

Sumeragi nodded briskly, tapping a finger on her chin. "The damage if you breached the reactor is a danger, though." The problems inherent with nuclear power were nod easily ignored.

She turned to give the unit Setsuna indicated a closer look. "Tell me about this one, then."
