1) [Italy has discovered sidewalk chalk! So he's spent the whole afternoon drawing pictures on the driveway. Everything from cute animals to food to people he knows are depicted there.]

Ah, drawing is so much fun~

[Blaze is a grumpy young woman, this is fairly obvious from the fact that she is usually seen with a faint frown. And yet she has a fondness for children. So when she walks out and sees the boy looking at her driveway, her face softens and it's a slight smile instead.]

When Grandpa was still around, we used to draw and paint together all the time. I really miss those days.

I ain't gonna-- Jeez, kid. Ya know ya can't get these shoes in this lousy town! They ain't even been invented yet here!

[He peels the shoes off and grimaces as he holds them up. Naturally it had to be red paint, didn't it.]
