also, if you are on a grunge kick you should pirate/purchase some soundgarden, especially the first few albums. Louder than Love and Badmotorfinger both rule.

I don't know why a band would need a Twitter, but bands are doing the Twitter thing now. It's not a bad idea though, making sure you got all your bases covered.

Chris has a few Soundgarden albums. I should make him burn me them.

and Ultramega OK, but LtL is my favorite.

Also, not a grunge band but also an early-mid 90s dirty sounding american rock band that blows most grunge bands away is Kyuss. They're a stoner rock band but i think they always called themselves desert rock and that fits better, i think. Try to find Welcome to Sky Valley, it's one of my favorite rock n roll albums.
