I'll definitely be reading some of these. A library just opened a block from our house, and I need suggestions!

What do you like to read? I'd recommend anything by Robyn Carr, it's fluffy, but in a good way--the good guys always win, but bad stuff happens along the way. If that makes sense.

I'm a huge Barbara Kingsolver fan. I also love Margaret Atwood and Joyce Carol Oates. Hubby teases me for only reading stuff by female authors.

I like Kingsolver, too.

Let's see:
Guarding the Moon by Francesca Lia Block. Memoir of her first year as a mother.

Robyn Carr--start with either Deep in the Valley (first in the Grace Valley trilogy) or Virgin River (first in the Virgin River series), or if you want a stand-alone, Blue Skies is my favorite. Big fat books with happy endings.

Lisa Samson--my favorite is Tiger Lillie, but I also really liked The Passion of Mary-Margaret. Christian fiction that is challenging and thought-provoking. (Just a warning, though, I've thought a couple of her novels sucked.)

The Honk and Holler Opening Soon by Billie Letts.

Here's a link to some good memoirs.

The Rapture of Canaan by Sheri Reynolds.

You were my inspiration, but then I never finished Emily's Quest...I think it's still somewhere upstairs with a bookmark in it....

love it. I started keeping my list last year because you inspired me to do so... but don't think I made it six months. Motivation to start again!

I've kept a list on and off for years, since I was in middle school.
