What do you like to read? I'd recommend anything by Robyn Carr, it's fluffy, but in a good way--the good guys always win, but bad stuff happens along the way. If that makes sense.
Let's see: Guarding the Moon by Francesca Lia Block. Memoir of her first year as a mother.
Robyn Carr--start with either Deep in the Valley (first in the Grace Valley trilogy) or Virgin River (first in the Virgin River series), or if you want a stand-alone, Blue Skies is my favorite. Big fat books with happy endings.
Lisa Samson--my favorite is Tiger Lillie, but I also really liked The Passion of Mary-Margaret. Christian fiction that is challenging and thought-provoking. (Just a warning, though, I've thought a couple of her novels sucked.)
