based upon
this picture and the fact that i want to write bee/sam without having to learn fancy names for shit
reposted from my tumblr so my ideas will make sense
aka i’m being lazy and i like the idea of half mecha/half human(ish?) characters because i’m a faggot for anything mechanical
it’s in the bayverse/movieverse/whatever because i have yet to begin watching g1 and am just doing this so i can write bee/sam without having to deal with robot terminology i mean uh
onwards
idea one;
when cybertron was first created/sparked/birthed/born or however planets are made, the initial life forms that lived there were exposed to radiation/energy from the allspark and appearances of the autobots/decepticons are similar to bumblebee in that picture. blue eyes was a side effect, but mutate to red based on the side because the energy of the allspark was a benevolent one and corrupting it forces the change to red optics. characters have similar structures (i.e bee’s feeler things, the little prong-esque horn things that optimus has) and their weapons are integrated into their bodies via ports that are on their arms, shoulders, etc that are visible through their skin very obviously. they haven’t had to conceal them before, and doing so on earth proves difficult because it’s obvious that nobody else has them unless they’re not human. inside, they have a sort of living circuit system as their nervous system, and their bones are larger and thicker and made of whatever alloy that canon!transformer armor is made of, but their skin is thin and allows for more bone. more bone equals more power when fighting and also enables the transformation into their respective automobile forms;
the density and thickness of their bones allows for intensely complex circuitry and the formation of the basic skeletal system that is necessary for their alt forms, plus the actual form depending on the size (i.e arcee, as she is a motorcycle, but no way for optimus since he’s a semi). other parts that are able to attach on are carried in subspace pockets and their alt forms can be sustained for indefinite amounts of time, including during recharge. they do not need fuel in the form of gas, but do need sufficient recharge periods and occasional energon depending on how they fare.
they are trained as fighters first and all second jobs or titles (medic, scout, weapon specialist) are built upon later, for they needed the power before anything else for the war. none need human food, but it can provide for amounts of energy if necessary, and some develop a liking to it anyway because it tastes good and new because they never had it on cybertron, nor did they have grass, snow, etc. upon the failure of victory on the autobot side and the sure defeat, autobots began fleeing cybertron in order to preserve their race and to hopefully find the allspark in order to bring about the end of the war and lo and behold, optimus’ faction ends up on earth.
and then the movies progress from there, etc etc.
the second idea;
was pretty much the same thing except that the transformers began as a race of genetic mutations by whatever had evolved on cybertron that eventually came to the forms that we see in the movies. many of the larger, clunkier, less efficient models of the ‘bots and ‘cons are from way back in the past (since transformers live for an indefinite period of time unless destroyed or otherwise in shit condition) but the ones that are newer are more recently born/sparked.
eventually, the original beings that created them were either murdered or died of old age or radiation from the allspark because they were vaguely reminiscent of humans (in my mind) and were more vulnerable than the mechanical race that they created. not even the oldest remember how their race came about because the ones who were even older than they were had been killed long long ago in the war.
autobots and decepticons retain their bipedal forms and alt forms, but also have the ability to produce a holoform that is completely and entirely real - a tribute to their creators in a sense, though none recognize it -, that can eat, drink, sleep, feel, etc.
and then the movies happen.
some of my writing might or might not ignore some events in the movies (i.e what i’m fuzzy on, sentinel being a huge cunt and killing ironhide, and carly because i see her as a useless character that does absolutely nothing beneficial) or be based on one of these two headcanons and will be stated before the read more cut.
