Chapter Eight

“Uncle Jin said to get up!!” Yuu-chan shouted on top of his lungs, shaking his cousin hidden under layers of blankets.

Ryuu watched his cousin by the doorway, trying to muffle his laughs directed both at his young cousin and twin.

“Go away!” Hayato hissed. “Can’t you see I’m trying to sleep here?” he growled, changing his sleeping position as he said so.

The child became irritated and began kicking his cousin, making Ryuu laugh harder and not bothering to muffle his apparent enjoyment. “Come on, everybody’s up and packed already. I wanna go to the beach!! Please? Wake up?” And Yuu tackled his sleeping cousin.

“Oooof~” Hayato groaned when the small body hit him. “Yuu-chan, just go. Okay? I don’t wanna go to the beach.” He said grumpily, carrying the child out of the bed and catching the gaze of his twin who was still laughing at his predicament. “And what are you laughing at?!”

“You?” Ryuu snickered and followed the muttering Yuu-chan back to the kitchen.

“At last, peace and quiet.” Hayato said, going back to his interrupted sleep.

“Jichan~!” Yuu whined as soon as he got back to the kitchen.

“Hmmm?” Jin looked up from his morning newspaper and daily dose of coffee. “He didn’t wake up, ne?”

Yuu nodded his agreement. “And he said he didn’t want to go to the beach. But I want him to be there together with Ryuu-nichan.” He pouted.

Kazuya laughed, ruffling Yuu-chan’s hair. “I swear he gets more and more anti-social as days pass by.” He said to Jin.

Jin sighed. “I know what you mean.” He walked to the fridge, filling a glass with cold water, and walked back to where the small boy was, handing the glass. “Here, this should wake him up!” he said impishly.

Yuu shared the same mischievous look his uncle had.

Kazuya shook his head and Ryuu laughed even harder.

“Jichan!!” Yuzu said, her cereals sudden forgotten. “Can I do it too? Please?”

Jin, again, filled another glass of cold water and handed it back to the little girl. “Here, knock yourself out!” he smiled conspiratorially at the two kids.

The two kids exited the kitchen, their giggles heard from the kitchen as they went back to the monster’s den.

Kazuya shook his head as Jin took the seat next to him. “You know he’s gonna get angrier that he already is with that.”

Jin laughed. “Naaa~ he won't be so petty to get angry at the kids. He loves them, you see.”

Ryuu chuckled from the other side of the table. “Hate to break it to you Kazu-jichan, but Hayato isn’t as intimidating as he is when he’s with the kids.” He smiled, knowing how his twin loved their little cousins.

“Gaaaaaaaaaaa!” Hayato’s shout echoed throughout the house. “Fuck~~~~! Oi! You two! Get back here you little @%$#@!”

Yuzu and Yuu went back to the kitchen laughing and gasping. They went to the nearest person they could find, which was Ryuu, to give them protection.

Kazuya and Jin were snickering, and it became loud when the Hayato came in to the kitchen with wet pajamas.

“Did you wet the bed, Haya-chan?” Ryuu teasingly asked.

Hayato huffed. “You know I don’t wet the bed.” He turned to his father, glaring accusingly. “It was you who set them to do that!”

Jin grinned. “Well, it worked right? You’re now up. Eat up; we need to get to the airport two hours from now.”

Hayato groaned, walking past Kazuya, muttering murderously as he poured coffee in to the cup he found by the sink. He grabbed Yuzu’s cereals, munching on them while glaring at his family, albeit affectionately. “I don’t get why you need me there anyways.” He muttered.

“Well, because it’s a family outing? So you need to be there!” his father said. “That, and we can’t trust you to be left alone here in the house.” The older man grinned.

Hayato stopped the growing urge to flick a piece of Yuzu’s cereal at his father’s direction.

“Haya-chan, like what your father said, it’s a family outing so you need to be there with us. It’s been so long since we were out, deshou?” Kazuya said.

“But we were out weeks ago to a picnic.” Hayato muttered.

“That’s different. Here, we get to be out of town~” Kazuya smiled.

“Hmmmp.” Hayato said. He won't win an argument with Kazuya-jichan. “I don’t know why I bother arguing with you when I know I won't win.”

Kazuya laughed. “But we weren’t arguing.” He smiled affectionately at the kid who once plotted with his twin to get him and their father together. “And like what your father said, I don’t want to leave you alone here in the house for the weekend. It’ll be lonely being on your own, ne?”

Hayato continued grumbling. “I can be by myself, thank you. I don’t get why you’re still treating me as if I’m an eight-year old kid. I can take good care of myself.”

“Well…” Ryuu started, “For the record, I don’t believe you can take care of yourself. You’ll probably just poison yourself by cooking and eating instant ramen.”

“I wasn’t talking to you.” Hayato said.

Kazuya laughed, and he stood up, ruffling Hayato’s hair. Hayato tried to fight the smile that’s threatening to show up on his face, but his Father and Kazuya saw it, and he pushed the older man half-heartedly, his smile showing.

“Come on, Haya-nichan, we hav’ta get going! We’re gonna hit the waves!! And make sand castle with Yuu-chan~~” Yuzu said from his father’s lap.

Apparently, Yuu and Yuzu went to seat themselves with Jin while he was busy arguing with Kazuya.

“Hai~ hai!” Hayato couldn’t believe himself when he said that. He shook his head and finished eating quickly, not before glancing back at his father and uncle who was talking sweetly with the kids.

“Excited, Yuzu?” Jin asked the little girl.

Yuzu nodded. “Yes, I wanna make the biggest sand castle we could ever find in the beach.”

“And I’m gonna help her with it.” Yuu said as he and Yuzu gave high fives.

“I’m sure you’ll be able to do that.” Kazuya said warmly. “And we’ll help you out if you want us to.”

Hayato felt a string of longing when he watched the kids, his father and adoptive uncle/mother/father talking excitedly about the sand castle. Ryuu saw the look Hayato had on his face and smiled. He knows what his older twin is feeling.

It’s nice to be kids again and not worry about anything because being with your parents… would mean everything to you.

“No, you can’t help. We’ll have Haya-nichan and Ryuu-nichan help us out.” Yuzu said, catching Hayato’s attention.

“Oi, no way am I gonna do that!”

“But you said before you’re gonna show us how to make sand castles~ the best one in world.” Yuzu pouted.

“Okay~!” Hayato gave in. He did promise that a long time ago. He can’t, for the world, know how the little girl still remembers that promise.

Plus, he’s weak with pouts.

The doorbell rang.

“I’ll get it.” Ryuu said, standing up to go to the gate.

“That’s probably Kei-chan and Shige.” Kazuya said. “They told me they’re gonna take a cab and join us to the airport.”

“Oh.” Jin replied. “Or that probably is Tatchan, Junno, Koki and Maru.”

Kazuya laughed. “That’s a lot. How would we fit in the van?”

“Let them take a cab to the airport.” Jin answered.

The loud conversation took their attention.

“Hey,” Shige said as he entered the kitchen followed by Koyama, with Haru in his arms, Tegoshi and Massu.

“Hi Guys~” Kazuya greeted back.

Ueda, Junno, Koki and Maru followed suit, carrying their bags with them.

“Are we all ready to go?” Ueda asked.

“Yeah, Pi-chan called me awhile ago. He said him, Kusano, Yuya, Ryo and Uchi is already on their way to the airport.” Tegoshi said.

“Well, we’ll be ready to go if one member of the Akanishi family gets the hint and change out of their pajamas.” Jin muttered, staring at Hayato who just shrugged.

“Hey, I can go to Okinawa in these clothes.”

“Hayato.” Ryuu said, finally intervening for the good of their family. “Go and change.”

Hayato’s left eyebrow rose in annoyance and was about to retort angrily at his twin when Ryuu’s demeanor changed to that of irritated.

“NOW!” Ryuu shot out.

“Okay! Going already!” Hayato replied, running back to his room.

“Oooh~ How did you ever manage to do that?” Junno asked.

Ryuu laughed. “He knows better not to get into my nerves.” He said simply.

A few moments later, Hayato came back, freshly showered and dressed in a pair of jeans and a simple t-shirt. “Come on already, the sooner we get there, the sooner we can come back to our normal lives.” He said, scooping Yuu in his arms while Ryuu got Yuzu, leaving their fathers to carry their luggage.

The family and their friends left for the airport to meet with the others.

Somewhere behind all the chaos that’s happening Koki muttered, “This is gonna be one hell of a vacation!” he said as he looked at the kids down to the adults who were too excited to keep still.

A/N: Yey! Another update~! It seems as if my schedule is right on track for the updates. *laughs*

I’ve got sooo many things to tell you but I forgot some of it already. So I’m just gonna say this thing that shocked me the most~~~ my younger sister and I went to the grocery and bought some things/supplies for the house. When we were already done, we went to the food court and she discretely pointed something… or someone rather. And it’s a girl using the KAT-TUN Calendar Bag~! XD ROFL. I was really shocked. And the girl was sooooo young compared to me. I think she was around 13 or 14 and my sister was laughing at me for having that bug-eyed look again. And she commented how old I was compared to the girl! *smacks her* I know I’m getting old for this fandom, but she doesn’t need to rub it in, ne?

EDIT: yes, it's was just a prank *sigh* I was really excited with the thought of them having a concert here~! But I guess deep inside I knew that it wasn't true! ROFL

Onto Last Friends~~ *kyaaaaaa* Ryo-chan is so much love with his psychotic tendencies in the dorama~! But yeah, Michiru is really stupid, ne?? But nonetheless, I still love Ryo-chan~ I hope he gets an award for this dorama. It’s really well-acted! Or maybe because he isn’t acting that’s why he was so effective in delivering the role of Sousuke? XD And I can't really remember the conversation  isomethyl and I had days ago about who will die in the dorama… we talked something about Ryo or Ruka dying? It just came to me that if there’s gonna be someone dying in the dorama, it would be all of them except Michiru. I reckon Sousuke killed them all, and then committed suicide after~!

Moving on, is it just me or Don't U Ever Stop sounds a bit like Thriller by Michael Jackson? Especially the Intro part. I don't know why I remember Thriller when I hear Don't U Ever Stop. *sigh*

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the update! As always, comments are loved!
