Interesting... I'd seen Microserfs on some book meme and had no idea what it was. I'll have to look for Coupland.

Microserfs is really funny. I'm guessing that you and EJ would appreciate the geek humor. At least, my circle of geeks really liked the book. I think the sense of humor is your type. You'd have to see. The commentary on mid-90's culture is really funny.

He's a Lego fantatic. His modern art projects include an MC Escher like Lego model with space ships or planes on wierd angles. whoa.

It reminds me of the Lego playground area in the Mall of America except way more complex.

Legos are such multi-generational toys. You could get a box of them when you're 8 and still be playing with them when you're 88 ;)

J-Pod is a really great title too.

yep! and they don't wear out or loose their batteries or become out dated. The basic block remains the same. Except for those newer ones that are bigger so little kids won't swallow them. ;)

J-Pod (because all the techies in the office pod had last names that began with the letter J) J-pod also sounds techie, Japanese, Anime-ish kind of. Mr. Coupland, overall, is WAY too clever and makes a lot of cheesey jokes in the book and gets away with it.

Since that new patch, I only get as far as the blue bar. Well it loads all the way, then my computer gives me the blue screen of death physical dump.

I've had my aunt a comp tech rip every file from the comp, including the regestries and areas i didn't know exsisted. Still does the same thing. Log in, wait in queue, choose char, full blue bar load..*reach that point you know you get to play*....DUMP.

I'm pissed. This is day 4. I have to call the stupid number cause the forum I get no response. If it doesn't get resolved, I'm cancelling.

So it loads your character that then gets stuck? weird. We had problems with the game not starting at all. The screen would go black, and then hang there. It still happens on and off.
