I have a brick rancher, with enclosed screened porch, garage, fenced back yard, gas fireplace, hardwood floors under carpet, metal roof, 3 br, 2 baths, new dishwasher, new water heater, and storage building. Congratulations! It's a heady feeling when you first buy a house. It's really nice knowing that if you want to put up pictures on walls, put up shelves, knock down things etc... you don't have to ask the landlord's permission. :-)

And the best part? No matter whether it's more or less in repayments than rent, the money's going into paying off something YOU own, not paying off someone else's property!

Well, mostly anyway... the bank still takes a lot of it at first.

Oh, I know. I just didn't think, after losing all that money on a bad car 2 years ago, that I could swing it. I'm socking in 15 per down.
