Oh! This is lovely, very calm and very sad. All the contrasts between how Oz seems and how he feels.
The only thing I'd quibble with is Oz feeling "ownership" of Devon...it works here, so my question's a larger-scale one, about whether it's Oz-like to feel like that.
I think there's a whole head flash thing where Oz reads too many Buddhist aphorisms at once and starts thinking that jealousy or desire put a claim of ownership on the loved one.
