I do not have time to go into my full scene by scene recap of the episode today, but I did have a few thoughts in mind during most of my boredom.
Kinda sad that this was so boring for me. River just kept reminding me of Reinette, which was annoying, to the point where we even got an "I'm always alright". The only 'everyone lives' also was just a reminder of The Doctor Dances. And even though I'm clearly a Ten/Rose shipper, I understand that the Doctor had people in the past and will in the future... just wish they didn't seem like a cookie-cutter of the last one.
Plus, it was very clear in the last episode that the everyone was downloaded into the hard drive of the library's computer, so I was just sitting there twiddling my thumbs waiting for the Doctor to catch up.
The only thing that didn't keep me bored was Donna. Poor Donna. Lost her poor virtual husband.
Certainly wasn't afraid of the shadows... I actually felt for them. This was how they got food, and their home was destroyed to build this library. Not their fault.
Oh, and the lecture on spoilers? I'd so take the book. And just to stick it to episode, I watched the last 3 minutes before I watched it all the way through. And it's a very good thing I did, 'cause that way I didn't absolutely detest River all the way through, just found her redundantly boring.
