Betrothed question

Dec 22, 2011 17:48

I looked through the Skyrim wikia and could not find an answer to my question, so I'm hoping someone here knows.

If you are betrothed, but not yet married and your betrothed gets killed, is it possible to get betrothed to someone else?

Thanks. :)

Interesting question. I wonder if anyone has had that experience. I would think you CAN. Maybe talk to Maramal and see if the "I'd like to have a wedding" option is still there? Because when you actually have the wedding there is the option to say no, so surely a dead betrothed would free you up.

OK, so I can say no. Because I said I would marry someone and now I'm having cold feet. lol. I want to find someone else. Saying no would be better than killing him. Ahem.

I would be cool to find out if you can become betrothed again if your current betrothed dies before marriage.

Thanks. :)

With my new character, I was having troubles deciding if I wanted to marry Farkas or Vilkas. I ended up going through the dialogue to be betrothed with both of them, but when I went to the temple to get married the last person I asked to marry was the one who automatically was the husband-to-be.
I'm not sure if that answers your question or helps.. but you could put the amulet back on and try to ask another potential bachelor and see what happens.
