It's going to be as bad as the beginning of last season. I'm going to need cheat sheets (aka, the free stats sheets I get as a season ticket holder) to keep track of the players on the other teams after all the moves already this summer. Oy.
I have to admit, my very first thought here was to quote, "You know, for a second there, yeah, I kinda did." O.o
I continue to bemoan the loss of the Pretty (Alyn), and am with you in being underwhelmed by what Doug's doing. I haven't entirely lost faith, but I dunno what to expect anymore.

I heard today that Chara mentioned in an interview that San Jose made a pretty big offer for him, too, before he chose Boston. So that's two big name UFA D who passed on us, three if you count Scott Niedermeyer. I think that part, at least, disturbs me greatly--not for what Doug's doing, but that for all they say how San Jose is an attractive place to go, the big name UFAs are passing us by.
I've seen those signing sessions pictures. Um, repeatedly now. ;)
Yes, Grier! I knew there was another reason I liked him so much but I couldn't remember what it was: it was the penalty killing. Nobody at all was happy immediately after that move was announced, other than me. Heh. Seriously though, his numbers weren't huge last year, but from all I saw of him, he brought a hell of a lot with him, the important things other than scoring goals, and I really do hope it works out for him in San Jose. :)
Damn Scott Gomez going for damn arbitration and damn salary cap nightmare BEFORE they signed him and Gionta and... damn!

I'm trying to figure out how in seven hells they came via a Dallas Stars fan from someone I'm presuming by the name is a Devils fan. There has to be a Sharks fan back in the chain somewhere, but hell if I know who.
bbunny IS a Devils fan. But the Sharks are listed in her interests, which I know because when I ran across her, half her userinfo page came up in bold. ;)
She's also a Canucks, Flames, and Rangers fan. And she's great. :)
Okay, I will be more specific. :) bbunny is a Devils fan who lives in Alberta--where did she get pictures of a Sharks autograph session held in San Jose? Okay, she might've been down here for it, but it's more likely she got them from someone else...and who is that someone else?
Etc. :) That's the track I'm trying to trace. I suppose I could just ask her, but I haven't been curious enough to actually do so. Just speculate aloud at this point. :>

Yeah, I am blessed with being able to afford them. And would be the one big reason why I may never be able to leave the Bay Area. I love them so much.
(And it's also why I never have time to watch anyone else play, the one reason in the 'con' column for getting something like Center Ice :)
