I do too, I'm a George Michael fangirl from way back. The sad thing is, many of the Torchwood fangirls were not born yet when this song was written. *sighs*

I don't think you've gotten around to reading any Terry Pratchett yet, but he's got a couple of quotes about heroes, something to the effect of "You can tell a hero by the way the sunlight glints off his teeth when he smiles--ting!"
