Does anyone else hear violins....?

First, the update - I finally got around to finishing another chapter of ‘Blind Sight’ and it’s a fairly long one, so good luck reading it. Also, I recently received a yummy picture of Seifer from ‘Broken Wings’ by Ruth, so I hope you enjoy it. She’s a wonderful person to send me gifts while she’s so incredibly busy ( Read more... )

I'm sorry your life is so hectic. *Gives you a cookie to make up for it.* Eat chocolate, remember that all boys are sucky, and ignore rude old people, becuase they're all senile once they hit forty anyway. When things get to crappy for you, remember this little secret: Coffee, Vanilla Ice Cream, Bailey's Irish Cream, and Kahlua. Stir. Drink. Get happy.

Also, don't worry about updating to frequently. I think it makes the experience better, because it's like: "Gasp! A new Chapter! I am filled with warm squishy feelings! Rapture!"

*laugh* Thanks for the pointers. It'll keep me smiling while hearing the shit my grandmother will spew at me. ;)

Huh, now that you mention it, I completely understand that feeling. I get that same rush of giddiness once loqia and other favorite authors update after months of nothing. With my self-conscious ways, I just don't really consider my stories worth waiting for with such long update times... but that's me and I'm always too hard on myself with anything I do. I realize this, but I can't help myself. ^^;

first of all you get a big huge hug! *hugs* ^_^

You write because you love it and that doesn't come with a deadline. Some people just don't realize this. And for that, they are dorks who just don't gives two shakes of a rat's ass. They just want more more more and you simply can't deliver. And frankly, if they were doing that to me, I'd be telling people off left, right and centre. But you know what, you update whenever the heck you wanna update because I'll still read it and love it and give you a hug if you ever need it.

^___^ *slinks off to read* and boy am I ever late! xD

Thankies for the hug - I probably needed it. And I like how you worded that. It is difficult force my writing to follow a strict deadline. Sometimes it works, but lately, Squall and Seifer have decided that time lines and shorter chapter lengths are for wusses. It drives me crazy, but I still love it no matter how much I complain. ;) And I think that's another reason I snapped - if writing fanfics did become more of a chore, I think I would stop. That's usually what happens to my hobbies. I used to do manga translations, but when people got grumpy about my weekly updates turning into more infrequent updates, I felt even more pressured and decided that I didn't like it anymore, so I gave up. I really don't want that to happen with my writing, so I'm taking a bit of a defensive position. =P But really, I've gotten this out of my system, so in the end, it's all good.

*wince* I was afraid that you'd notice you were part of the few. But as I've already said, I knew that you didn't mean it that way. I'm just extremely sensitive to certain wordings of things. And really, you are far from the worst in the bunch since you expand beyond such comments into a more productive email as opposed to some of these one-liners I get ( ... )

Hey there. Just wanted to say that I've been reading your fics for a while now, and absolutely loving them. Even though when I started I knew diddly squat about FFVIII, and still don't know that much, your fics just draw me in. ~You~ introduced me to Seifer and Squall, period. Thank you. :) And while I don't usually read original fics, I somehow think I'll give yours a go ;)

I hope the coming weeks aren't ~too~ stressful, and I certainly realize that fics take second place behind RL. Best of luck with the workload and the traveling. If it's any comfort, at least your flight isn't an ~eighteen~ hour one across the Atlantic. *g*

*grin* That is one of my most favorite comments, whenever I'm the one responsible for getting people addicted to something different. It makes me feel evil or something. ;)

And yeah, it's not too stressful at this point - just really busy and a bit mind racking when I get statements like, 'oh yeah, I forgot that I need X from you by tomorrow.' Of course, the Philly trip will be a different story. ^^; I'd prefer the eighteen hour flight to get that much further from my grandmother.

*grin* Truthfully, yes, I am proud for every person I've tainted through my fiction. ;) I love being able to imagine that my writing introduces people to different things, whether to my cursed parasites, I mean, muses SxS, to the warped genre that is mpreg, or to a simple idea I mention in a story which inspires another person to write something. What can I say - I love to lure people to the dark side. ;)

And thanks for leaving a comment when you don't normally do so. I don't really rely on feedback like some authors do, but it's always nice having that extra boost of motivation. Heh, and I should be fine in the coming weeks. I made it through the visit with my grandmother (flew 4 hrs there and 4.5 hrs back to spend a whole 5 hrs total with my grandmom... not too bad =P), so everything else should be a breeze.... riiiight, I'll just keep telling myself that.
